You should check out this studio in Gurugram – The Art Room. It caters to both kids and adults and your ability to draw (or not) won't matter here. The facilitators will help you through it all once you find the programme you like. 

What Is the Art Room?

The Art Room is an indoor and outdoor studio space spread over a huge area. They come equipped with experienced facilitators and a Ceramic Studio, with a kiln. It is located close to Huda City Center Metro Station. One of the things they do is use materials that are repurposed to create new things. Great initiative we say!

They have different programmes running depending on your age and skills.  Their programmes are divided as follows

Mini Doodlers -3 to 6 years – Printing, painting, sticking, storyboarding, and getting their hands dirty with clay are some of the fun things they do in class.

Juniors – 7 to 11 years – Exploring ideas, forms, colors, textures to nurture creativity and self-expression through fun activities is the focus here and students get to identify diverse mediums and experiment with new techniques. 

Art Apprentice – 12 years & above- This programme covers the basics of drawing and painting techniques. It's tailored to the level and interest of each student.

Ceramist Basic – 8 to 13 years – The kids are shown and taught wedging, kneading, centring, lifting, trimming, glazing and lots more techniques.

Ceramist Advance – 14 years & above – The students are encouraged to explore and develop their own aesthetic style. Students can choose to focus on sculptural or the pottery and vessel form.
