I never understood the phrase, “You are fighting like a girl.” We often talk about equality and how women can do it all – but phrases like these just put us back to where it all began. So how are we really teaching our daughters and sons about equality and about how women in the world and in India have fought against all odds to be the best in what they do? Sounds tough right?
Today on KSP Radio, we are talking about a female freedom fighter that was synonymous with courage, honour and patriotism – Jhansi ki Rani or Rani Laxmi Bai. Tune in to this podcast and you will know the story of how she fought for Jhansi, never gave up and broke all “norms” of being a girl, even back then when it was unheard of. It is very important to introduce the History of India to our children because they will learn more about our culture and also will show them how different people from different walks of lives have fought for the freedom of our country!
