You want to do what is best for your children. You know about the importance of car seats, baby gates and other ways to keep them safe. But, did you know that one of the best ways to protect your children is to make sure they have all of their vaccinations so you can immunize them against a host of diseases?

What is immunity?

Immunity is your body’s defence system to resist infection from foreign bodies. A child’s natural immunity is not strong enough to fight infections. Which is why they need vaccinations to stay healthy. Vaccines boost a child’s natural defences against illness and are extremely important.

Did you know

‘35% children drop out at the pre-school age for the booster shot. The numbers go further down by adolescent age.’

Vaccination builds on the natural immune system of the child to resist certain diseases. Which is why it is extremely important to stay on track. While the current pandemic is keeping people indoors as much as possible. Parents need to realize that as and when social distancing requirements are relaxed, children who are not protected by vaccines will be more vulnerable to diseases.

With the pandemic hitting the world,  parents/caregivers are under the impression that:

  • Children are safe indoors – even if they are not vaccinated.
  • Since nobody is going to school, the chances of children catching infections, are very low.
  • Delaying their children’s booster vaccine doses – will not make any difference.
  • Vaccines are only meant for babies.

Here’s what’s wrong with that thought

  • Immunizations can save your child’s life.
  • Vaccination is very safe and effective.
  • Immunization protects others you care about
  • Immunization protects future generations.

At Kidsstoppress we want to create awareness about booster vaccinations. Parents need to realize that as and when social distancing requirements are relaxed, children who are not protected by vaccines will be more vulnerable to diseases.

We got together with 8 mom bloggers across the country to find out what they know and think about vaccinations, are they taking their kids for the shots, do they know that adolescents also need booster shots. We got a lot of answers. Watch the video to know parents should not skip their child’s DTP Booster Vaccine Doses and visit their paediatrician as soon as possible.
