Sonth ki goli is the perfect dadima ka nuska to fight cold and cough. Made with gur (jaggery), sonth (ginger powder) and ghee, this home remedy helps boost immunity and relieve congestion in kids. Jaggery is very high in iron and we should all include a piece of gur in our daily diet, especially in the winter as it helps keeps the body warm. Sonth or ginger powder is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is beneficial for a number of things – from stomach irritation, migraines to flatulence. It’s also healthy for pregnant women and lactating mothers.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Gur (Jaggery)
  • 2 Tbsp Ghee
  • 3 Tbsp Sonth Powder (Ginger powder)

Method

  • Melt the ghee in a pan. 
  • Add gur and melt it. Keep the flame on low or the gur will get chewy.
  • Mix in the sonth powder and stir well to combine.
  • Take it off the gas and allow it to cool slightly.
  • Shape into bite-sized balls
