With Befriend we present to you a brand that’s utilitarian, cool, comfortable and extremely stylish.  The brand is being promoted by Rachel Wawn who has been committed to and working in the social development space since 2000 – for NGOs in UK, Nepal, Chile & India working in the following areas: children’s health & education; medical research; sustainable development & fundraising. With a Masters in Governance & Development in the UK she has worked for UNDP in New York and Bahrain before returning to India. She has since been working voluntarily for different NGOs, mainly focused on empowering them to develop income streams and become sustainable for the long term.

‘Befriend’ started 2012, produces a varied range of waterproof products like the shopping bags, handbags, drawstring bags, aprons for adults and kids, bag organizers, baby bibs, changing mats.  The products are handcrafted by the NGO  Sui&Dhaga. The NGO designs eco-friendly cloth bags, Jewellery, purses, greeting cards and more. The products crafted by them are not only sold at local fairs and exhibition in India, but are also marketed in Italy.
Befriend has developed a social enterprise that provides livelihoods for women tailors as well as distributing all the profits to projects doing great work in the space of women and kids empowerment.

Pricing:
Drawstring Bags range from Rs 200 – 400 depending on size while the bibs cost Rs 150. The changing mat is priced at Rs 750. Kids aprons are priced Rs 400 onwards and my favourite handbag organizer for Rs 500.
