Tia’s closet is the brainchild of Aditi Mehta, former pharmacist whose last assignment was with Pfizer India, marketing their Oncology portfolio. She ended her corporate stint to work with a team of tailors who are just as passionate as she is about creating elegant and chic clothing for girls between 9 months to 3 years.
Soon after the birth of her daughter Tia, Aditi struggled to find functional clothing that was stylish, elegant and chic and began designing exclusive pieces for her daughter. Friends and relatives showered her with compliments and that motivated her to make this a national brand. Tia’s Closet stocks clothing for every occasion beginning from fun playdates, to special occasions, and evening soirées.
“Working on Kid’s clothing is a challenge and we emphasize on design, fabric comfort and finishing to please our hard to please customersâ€_x009d_, says Aditi Mehta. Materials used are child-friendly – rich, easy-to-wear, textured fabrics or printed soft cotton. Majority of the clothes (95%) are lined with malmal, soft cotton, or santon silk.
Currently retailing through online stores and popular exhibitions, Aditi aspires to make Tia’s Closet into a national brand with presence on high streets, department stores and online stores. Her newly launched Mommy & Me capsule is what she is proud of and sees a strong market for the brand.
Tia’s Closet is modestly priced with a collection ranging from INR 895 going up all the way to INR 2095
