    It's India's favourite author – Ruskin Bond's birthday this week! And to celebrate we have a treat for KSP Radio listeners! All week-long, we have our favourite stories from Ruskin Bond recorded for radio by Madhumita Kapoor.

    Ruskin Bond lives and writes in Landour, Mussorie and his literary style is influenced greatly by his surrounding, The mountains, hill stations, simple folk — all makie it as characters in his stories. His work appeals to a large audience from very young children who are enthralled by his stories like Blue Umbrella to adults who eagerly wait for his new novels!

    Madhumita is a story-teller at heart and has been a content developer, storyteller, and trainer for a Mumbai-based book store. Over the last few years, as a storyteller, she has enjoyed drawing an imaginative path for children at her workshops with sessions that are a potpourri of songs, games, mime, and stories. She has also helped set up the Kahani Karnival Trust, a project, that brings stories alive through multidisciplinary art forms via festivals. In addition to her many degrees, she holds one from Kathalaya, –the only Global Storytelling Academy in the World.
