Scream, Shout, And Have A Whole Lotta Fun With Your Kids At Adlabs Imagica

An impromptu weekend plan with college friends and their kids is what finally got us there and as always we have tons of information to share so you have a great holiday. Most rides have height limitations of 37″ and above with shoes so if your kids make it to that mark then it’s totally worth it. Adlabs Imagica has been there for a while but after being there this weekend I wondered why I held back from visiting it for so long. I think part of the reason could be no adequate information to go with an infant or just a lot of positive word of mouth. An impromptu weekend plan with college friends and their kids is what finally got us there and as always we have tons of information to share so you have a great holiday.

Pack Up:

This for me is the highlight of any vacation I take with my family and I always like to pack handy but still keep it light.

1. No Food. Nothing is allowed

2. No water except toddler water sippers. There are bottled water kiosks available every 100 mts.

3. An extra pair of clothes for the kids if they get wet or get sick after a ride/activity.

4. A backpack is a must with spare clothes and knick knacks.

5. A small sling with your essentials like wipes, sanitizers, phone, cash etc. is a must carry.

6. Hats, sunglasses, and warm weather gear are a must as afternoons get really warm and sunny.  are a must as the afternoons get really sunny. Raincoats and wet weather gear are a must between June and September.

7. Small First Aid Kit packed with Savlon, antiseptic cream, cotton, band aids, and some essential medication.

8. Pram/Stroller for children who will get tired of walking after a while, especially in the afternoon heat. Even if your child is nearing 4 I would still recommend it.

9. Selfie sticks are not allowed but you may want to carry your power banks and chargers.

Getting there:

Getting there from Mumbai took us a drive time of a little under two hours. The road is wonderful and once you get there, there is tons of parking space. If you are leaving soon after breakfast then you probably don’t need to carry anything to snack on.

Ages:

I was definitely worried about my younger child who isn’t yet three. But what matters is height and not age. Most rides have height limitations of 37″ and above with shoes so if your kids make it to that mark then it’s totally worth it. The next height restriction is at 42″ which an average 6.5 year old would be. There are four rides designed exclusively for adults and they can also accompany their little ones on most rides.

Booking Your Tickets:

We actually booked our tickets online but you could book on the spot too. Pick a weekend or day that would seem relatively more relaxed versus a national holiday. They have something called an Express Pass which is a must have if you are likely to go on a big weekend but if not then I would recommend you book your tickets on the spot. Check with the bookings manager and find out whether you would need an express pass or not as per the day you decide to visit.

Planning your rides:

We began with the rides that started functioning early as we reached around 11.00 am. Hence the kiddie rides were on our list first. They are all fun like the Loch Ness, Pirate ship, Cars, and another team ride in the Pirate Zone. The kids were excited with their rides and we managed to squeeze in Nitro, Gold Rush, and the Scream Machine which are adult rides which you definitely want to pack in before lunch.

The park has many indoor and outdoor rides and my recommendation would be to save the indoor ones for when it gets really warm.

We broke for lunch and then continued with the Space adventures, Mr. India, and the Rajasauras ride. We continued with the Haunted house which is really well done and highly recommended, next up was  Aladdin’s adventures. The I for India activity is also a must do during the afternoon slot for kids off all ages.

Food and where to eat:

The place has many options. We picked a multi cuisine cafe for lunch. They served everything from idli and dosas to pastas, pizzas, and even rotis, sabzis and rice. There is also an American restaurant where you can tuck into burgers, or pizza slices.

Must Do:

1. Scream during all the rides. It adds to the fun!

2. Take pictures in the evening when it is beautifully lit up.

3. Enjoy the Parade.

4. Take pictures near the English bakery where they have installations from various fairy tales.

All in all this is a super fun place for a day trip with your family and friends. There is something to do for the whole family, very helpful staff, and the place is kept extremely clean.
