The gut is the first line of defence between the food we digest and the bloodstream it nourishes. Therefore, we need to make sure we feed the gut lining and the gut microbiota with nourishing foods that improve and build big immunity and strength to take on the monsoon season.
As they say, “Prevention is better than cure”. And so, building immunity with traditional superfoods like nutmeg, curcumin, cloves, healing teas, cinnamon and apple cider vinegar can break down phlegm and can help with bowel motility to flush it down the poop.
The gut and colon are where all the immunity builds, if it is jammed and not clean it restricts immunity to build. Here, Ayurveda meets vanity. It’s a delicious concoction that is tasty and healing. Hence, you could use a variety of teas and choose vegan versions to naturally sweeten it.
