Here is how much fun the kids and moms had at our exclusive workshop last year!
What is Aerial Silk?
It is an aerial acrobatics performed while hanging on a special fabric that is suspended from the ceiling. Aerial silk has numerous benefits which include improving one’s motor skills, strength, endurance and coordination.
What will this workshop teach:Â
- Demo act by students from the academy.
- Followed by an introductory session on various international aerial art forms.
- Kids will get to try out different postures using silk fabric from basic beginner level.
So bring your kids for a fun aerial stint with Internationally certified instructor - Aditi Deshpande. A trained gymnast and winner of 20 gold, 15 silver and 10 bronze medals in district, state and national level championships and Aditi has been awarded the most prestigious state-level award, ‘Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Award ‘ for Mallakhamb at the age of 21 and has been teaching this sport for the past 15 years.
What you should know before enrolling for the event:
- All the beginner moves are done low and close to the ground as your child’s safety is our number one concern.
- No child will be left unattended and there will be a safety mat under each silk.
- Parents are welcome to stay and watch or join the class. We also have special spots for “mom and child” duo.
- Avoid eating just before coming to the event.
- Dress code for the event: Comfortable workout wear, track pants and t-shirt
