Ok- this is something big we are hearing this lockdown! And just like the kids- most of us, the millennial parents are excited too!

Children's favourite author and the mastermind behind the Harry Potter series, JK Rowling decided to make a big announcement and kids world over are excited! The Harry Potter author took to Twitter to announce that The Ickabog will be released chapter by chapter, online, every weekday between Tuesday, May 26 and Friday, July 10. Yippee!

What?! Wow!

Before you expect a Harry Potter sequel or anything related to that- here's the heads up. This one is nothing like that. The Ickabog is a fairy tale, set in an imaginary land, which J.K. Rowling says is ‘about truth and the abuse of power'. Catering to kids aged 7 and above we are waiting to read this online with our kids, this lockdown. Incorporating changes and feedback from her children to whom she had read long ago- even before Harry Potter and once now again, J K Rowling has made another announcement that will get your kids super excited this summer.

"Every day, I’ll be making suggestions for what you might like to draw. You can enter the official competition being run by my publishers, for the chance to have your artwork included in a printed version of the book due out later this year. I’ll be giving suggestions as to what to draw as we go along, but you should let your imagination run wild."- JK Rowling.

The best part- she shares some of her favourite entries from the many she is receiving on her Twitter handle and that's making a lot of parents and kids happier. So, what are you waiting for, kiddos? Go ahead, read the story here and participate in the competition here.
