The title is inspired by my wife or she suggested that I write about how things actually get easier as the child grows older. It’s not difficult for me to comment because remember, I said before too that the moms do all the hard work . So, if she is indeed saying it gets easier, then I guess it must be getting easier. How though, I am not sure.

I see Kian in the morning when I leave for work, and he’s usually all smiles and happiness personified at that time. Very often, when I return, he is fast asleep. What has transpired in between those two bookends, I am not entirely sure of. And I’m fairly certain that it’s not entirely ‘easy’ during those 10-12 hours of the day when I’m not around.

So, what according to my wife makes it ‘easier’ as the child grows older? It’s not like Kian is able to walk, talk or express his views about what he wants or does not want… well, kind of… he has gotten more expressive and vocal (to the extent babies can be vocal). And he sure as hell can let us know when he doesn’t want or like something. Maybe that’s what it is! The fact that she knows when he wants or does not want something when he likes or dislikes something. So, rather than her timing and anticipating feeds, movements, like, dislikes, she can now hear the sounds or read the expressions that tell her what time it is.
