Why this movie is special:

  • The movie won the hearts of children all around for its stunning visual effects. Who wouldn’t love a talking pink piglet?!
  • The best part of the movie, however, is the social message is silently conveys- to the adults and the grown up kids. The slaughtering of animals and how their life changes forever are conveyed in a subtle manner that got the audience around the globe to vouch for vegetarianism.
  • The moments of bonding between the piglet and the sheepdog and the other animals in Hoggett’s farm are gold. “Can I call you mum”, Babe asks one of the sheepdogs, Fly, after he loses his mom, who landed up in a slaughterhouse, that forces a tear out of your eye.
