About Stop, Breathe & Think Kids:

Stop, Breathe & Think- one of the famous mindfulness apps for adults launched a version for the little ones last year. With mindfulness turning out to be the buzzword among parents and millennials, we knew we had to try this app and see what’s special for the little ones. This is a game-based wellness and mindfulness app for kids aged 5-10 and is curated in association with activity-based mindfulness expert and author of The Mindful Child and Mindful Games, Susan Kaiser Greenland.

Features:

With a user-friendly introduction process (through a guided video for parents), the app starts by asking its little users how they feel today. Based on the emotion they pick, a list of recommended missions come up that help create their very own field of calm. Once your child selects a mission- that ideally lasts for less than 7 minutes- narration follows with a step-by-step procedure, following by relaxing music and some animations for kids to enjoy better. The missions are broadly in 7 categories- Quiet, Focus, Caring & Connecting, Energizing, Meltdown, Open Mind, and Sleep. And as your kid finish each mission, you can track the progress, how they have fared and they are rewarded with stickers.

The app is free to download and with the free subscription, you can access over 15 free mindful activities for each situation. With the premium subscription, the user has access to more mindfulness activities and missions for kids to try out.

What Kidsstoppress Thinks About This:

  • The concept of a game-based app for kids to experience mindfulness is commendable and we ‘ve fallen in love with it!
  • The app is a great way for kids and parents to bond in some meditation and quiet time together.
  • This way the little ones to begin to use this app will be able to realise and identify the various emotions they experience. A learning process for the little minds.
  • While the adults’ version of the app is available on Android- the kids version isn’t available yet and we can’t wait!
