Winter is here and with it comes the pollution too. I found my little one falling ill too often. Maybe it is the weather I thought. But even with proper woollens and medicines to protect her, the number of times my little one fell ill in a month, seem to spike and got me worried. Was I missing something?
Whenever my child returned home all hungry after an exhausting session of football practice and makes a dash straight to the box of sweets on the table, I stopped her and made sure she washed her hands thoroughly. But what about at school? Kids, in their excitement and hurry, tend to forget the basics when it comes to hygiene and good health when they are playing with their friends. Either they end up using the same soap bar as others- only spreading the infection from one to another. Or when they use a common handwash- How can we, as parents, find a solution to this? ITC’s Savlon Swasth India Mission has come up with this innovative mission to address the widespread issue of hand hygiene by introducing the unique Savlon ID Guard.

What is the Savlon Id Guard?
The innovative mission looks to encourage a behavioural change in children and motivate them to wash their hands thoroughly, even when in school. The Savlon ID Guard- is a multi-use handwash sachet coupled along with the school ID card that the child wears the day through- thereby ensuring every child has a quick access to washing their hands- anywhere and everywhere!
This move comes as a huge relief for parents like us, who are clueless about the child’s hygiene and habits when at school. While carrying a handwash bottle or a bar of soap becomes a tedious process for every child, this unique approach has been implemented as a pilot project in 32 schools and looks to successfully cover 1000 schools within the next 6 months!
