Thoughts Every Modern Day Dad Has (Most Even Before Baby Is Born!)

    What am I going to do?, How are we going to support this child?, Will I make enough money to send the kid to a good school?, Will he/she be let down in any way by my parenting, by what I can/cannot do for them? Thats a lot of thoughts and a lot of future planning for a kid that wasn’t even born yet.

    “What am I going to do?”, “How are we going to support this child?”, “Will I make enough money to send the kid to a good school?”, “Will he/she be let down in any way by my parenting, by what I can/cannot do for them?”… And probably most importantly, will I be as good a parent as mine were to me. Geez! That’s a lot of thoughts and a lot of future planning for a kid that wasn't even born yet. I guess this is the downside of this uber-competitive world we live in today…

    I was future planning, without even knowing what this kid would be like. What are his likes and dislikes going to be? What will his personality be? Will he be patient? Will he have the steady hands of a doctor? The brain of a scientist or mathematician (unlikely, given his father’s ‘love’ for math)? Will he have the creative instincts of a writer or an artist? How could I know all these things… I hadn’t even seen the little guy yet!
