Do you remember when you were young and being on your period was just so traumatic? We had different code names that would save us from the embarrassment. Today, I have a teenage daughter and I know I never want to put her through what I did. I want to normalize the conversation about a woman's body around my husband. It is natural and there should be no embarrassment. 

We need to ensure we raise sons and daughters to be more empathetic so they don't fall prey to bullying
