Titi Oil Pastel Colours Review

I didnt until a friend of mine told me and I realized maybe its true as the daughters grip did get better when she did start using chunky crayons of a travel pack I had bought her a while ago. The pictures are nice & bright and tend to give a much better feel than what the picture would look with wax crayons. Here is a Diwali card the daughter coloured for Diwali.

I think we all start off as moms with the crayolas & camlins of the world as they are safe and come in easy travel packs. Little did we know that the crayon needs to be thick for an easy grip for the child etc. I didnt until a friend of mine told me and I realized maybe its true as the daughters grip did get better when she did start using chunky crayons of a travel pack I had bought her a while ago.

As she moved on from scribbling to colouring where she was actually interested in the results of what she coloured wax crayons just seemed dull. When I was at a store buying a birthday present for one of her friends is when he suggested I try Titi colours, some fun oil pastels. I bought it for the daughter and there is no looking back.  She loves them.

Why Oil Patels?

Pastels contain more oil than an ordinary wax crayon. The wax crayons are less durable and dull than the oil pastels. Some people consider oil pastels as crayon but they are much smoother and brighter than crayons. They are very easy to blend too. Layering is the technique of using pastels. That’s why kids love the texture of the picture a lot because they always colour on a spot repeatedly. The first layer should be very light and transparent.

Because it gives off colour it blends itself into the white spaces. They can also learn how to blend colours very easily with their index fingers. The only thing I dont like about any oil pastel is that it leaves colour on the hands unlike wax crayons.
The Titi colours are perfect oil pastel for children and they come in a hexagonal shape which will help you better your childs grip.
