Video Watch: Do you love this mom and daughter Maggi ad?

Love the insight ‘Ma ke haath ka swaad’, (The taste of mother’s recipe) but you know what, I can’t ever associate Maggi with my mom. If you told me recipes of my mom I could think of the achaar, the kachoris that she makes, the hot moong dal pooris with aloo ki sabji, uundhyu(don’t blame me I am a gujju), the hot mathdi she made or ragda pattice but I just can’t remember my mom’s Maggi recipe.

This Maggi ad has over half a million views and without a doubt it’s cute. Daughter moving out of the house and trying to stay independently. Mom feels daughter is never old enough to manage on her own. In all of this the mom says I am sure you are hungry and let me make you something and the daughter says let me.

There you here the crumpling pack of Maggi come out and the daughter makes it in quite an interesting fashion versus just the usual plain Masala Maggi we all make.

Love the insight ‘Ma ke haath ka swaad’, (The taste of mother’s recipe) but you know what, I can’t ever associate Maggi with my mom. I can only associate Maggi with friends, late nights, forbidden food but never to any mom. Not mine, not me as a mom nor with any other mom I know.

Moms don’t feed Maggi noodles to their kids when they are hungry. Okay forget the hyper ventilating moms of today but not even the cool chilled out ones back then. When we were growing up it was all about ghar ka nashta and cooking up some hot Indian snack in the evening.
