Whats in a mom’s bag

So while I was browsing through many magazines this weekend and reading a few celeb interviews. You know the usual stuff where they ask the celebrities so what’s in your bag or you cant leave the house without and I was just thinking darn my life is so different now. Though there are lots of new additions to my bag making me buy bigger bags always but I haven’t let go on those typical women things and I think I never will.

For all those people who always ask me why do I carry such big bags here is what’s in it.

• Wallet
• Phone
• Car Keys
• House keys
• Spare clothes for my daughter
• A snack that she can eat incase she feels hungry or she can nibble on while I am driving
•  Crayons & a colouring book: this one has helped me through so many meals at restaurants that I strongly recommend it
• Water bottle: Filled enough to last the both of us.
• Lip balm & gloss, blush & brush
• Spare hair clips
• Ipod
• Pen & diary. I never know when i need to head out and meet someone randomly to take notes
• Story books to entertain her in the car seat while I am driving
• Some spare change and tenners kept loosely so I dont have to open my wallet always
• A pack of tissues
• Mini bib
• Mine and my daughters sunglasses. never make the mistake of forgetting hers.

Yeah I think thats all for now, actually a lot of stuff. But I am atleast happy that I have got rid of that bulky diaper bag. Actually I never hada diaper diaper bag. I somehow couldnt agree to carry that. I always used bigger bags and put things in so that I didnt have a purse and then a diaper bag or carry a diaper bag that evidently made me look like a mother.

But what I am proud of is that the make up, my ipod and all those sweet little nothings have not made their way out.

But here is what I carry if I need to be at the park and a short distance away from home neatly packed in a sling.

• water
• snack
• wipes
• phone
• books for my daughter to read

The one thing I have given up carrying is clutches atleast during the day invariably nothing now fits into it and incase I need to run errands after I just stuff it so much that it barely looks like the little stylish thing its supposed to look.
