Gone are the days when parents decided an educational path for their child from the limited state and national boards available. With the addition of international boards and the government recently announcing a Vedic board and an open board for homeschooled kids, it’s natural for parents to feel that they are in a dilemma. So, what are the key factors to consider when deciding on an educational board?
CBSE, ICSE and the State board are Indian based systems where they have adapted to the traditional rote learning method and it is very easy on the pocket. ICSE and CBSE give you the best of training in competitive exams but they pay very little attention to extracurricular activities. CIE and ICSE is a UK based curriculum and IB have more application and inquiry-based learning and have a high focus on extracurricular activities. It is very steep on the fees and these boards are not an easy transfer within India.
