New "Teen Accounts" feature launched by Instagram - to help protect teen privacy and safety

To be rolled out in early 2025 in India.

Aimed at protecting the safety of teens from 13 to 17 years and to safeguard their mental well-being, Instagram has launched the new "Teen Accounts" feature.

These include default private accounts, messaging and interaction limits, and restricted access to sensitive content. Parents of teens under 16 must approve any changes to these settings.

We love the features such as sleep mode and the daily reminders that prompts the teens to get off the app and spend time in the real world.

These new features in addition to the already launched Parental Supervision Tools help assure today's parents of teens about the safety and well-being of their teen in the digital world.

The ONE Magic Drink I Swear By

Before you rush to give your kids the cold medicine or the cough drops, try out this recipe that you can make in your kitchen- and it works wonders with your immune system! (Recipe below)

This recipe has never failed me or to the friends who I have generously shared my ajwain plant leaves with.
Recipe:
1. Add all of the ingredients mentioned together
2. Bring it to a boil
3. Strain it and store it for morning and evening. Let’s not keep things overnight
4. Please do not add honey while boiling . Ayurveda says honey when added to hot things loses its remedial properties and does more harm than good.
5. This is concentrated so if your kids find it spicy dilute it with water and warm it again before serving. I usually give it to them at a warm temperature in a flask so they can keep sipping it.
6. You can also add jaggery if they prefer it sweater.

P.S. It also tastes really delicious so it could also be a rainy day warm soothing drink.

In this video I spoke about how parents need to accept and adapt to the changing times and tweak their parenting styles accordingly. We live in a world where we want to empower women and families. And then there are messages like these!

Why do we expect parents to work like they don't have to raise kids and why do we also expect them to raise kids like we don't need to go to work? Irony much?

Why does it always have to be one or the other? As a mom and entrepreneur when I launched Kidsstoppress- this was one thing I wanted to define and I am happy we stick by it. As a team that is 80% moms, we respect each other's PTA times, school pick ups, infant nap times and the exam days in the year. A little empathy at work place, goes a long way in supporting parents and especially in bringing women back to the work force.
