There’s a lot of attention these days on the words from over a decade ago of a certain New York businessman running for President. He’s dismissed this as ‘locker room’ talk. I don’t mean to make this about US politics or politics at all, but just to point out that, if this is what happens in locker rooms, then we have a problem.
As the father of a girl, I have a problem with accepting that ‘boys will be boys’. I don’t think the gentleman in question would let his opponent get away with talking about grabbing parts of men’s anatomy, so why the duplicity?
Some say this is an American problem. The politics of it, definitely is. The gender implications of the situation is positively universal. And as parents, we have the opportunity to reverse it.
