It isn't just enough to point our kids to the study room and scream "No TV!". It takes a lot more effort than that to show our kids that we are with them, along their journey, and are ready to create a safe pocket that they need to today's ever-changing world.

Had the opportunity to speak once again on #TheBreakfastClub with @sonalmehrotrakapoor on understanding Gen Alpha, how to support them as families, and how nuclear families with less support, can help provide children the safety cocoon they need in the various stages of their childhood.

In this video I spoke about how parents need to accept and adapt to the changing times and tweak their parenting styles accordingly. "Mere saat aisa nahi hua" can't be the norm to raise today's children. Understanding Gen Alpha is the key to creating a lasting bond which goes beyond just raising them.

We live in a world where we want to empower women and families. And then there are messages like these!

Why do we expect parents to work like they don't have to raise kids and why do we also expect them to raise kids like we don't need to go to work? Irony much?

Why does it always have to be one or the other? As a mom and entrepreneur when I launched Kidsstoppress- this was one thing I wanted to define and I am happy we stick by it. As a team that is 80% moms, we respect each other's PTA times, school pick ups, infant nap times and the exam days in the year. A little empathy at work place, goes a long way in supporting parents and especially in bringing women back to the work force.
