I recently visited @dps.nashik to talk to parents

I recently visited @dps.nashik to talk to parents and teachers about Conscious Parenting and how we can raise ourselves to be better parents in order to raise better children. I was truly impressed by the atmosphere the school strives to create for its students.

Moving beyond the four walls of the classroom and ensuring that learning isn’t confined to the three hours of examinations is the biggest win I see at @dps.nashik. An environment that supports and encourages both learning and unlearning—one that inspires today’s generation—is what parents ideally look for in a school. And that’s exactly what sets the great ones apart from the rest.

Stuck in a rut? Kids making faces about eating dal-sabzi for dinner every day? We’ve got a few ideas that are healthy & yummy and we guarantee smiling faces!

Sharing one recipe with you here for Pumpkin Pav Bhaji

Ingredients – Serves 4
•200g Pumpkin cubed and pressure cooked
•3 Tbsp Pav Bhaji Masala + a little more for sprinkling
•1/4 grated Cauliflower
•2 tsp grated Ginger
•2 tsp Garlic paste
•4 medium Tomatoes grated
•1 medium Capsicum finely chopped
•1/2 cup Peas
•1/2 cup finely chopped Carrots
•1/2 cup Tomato Puree
•1 Lemon Juice
•Coriander leaves (dhania)
•Butter as per requirement
•Salt to taste
Method
•Parboil the cauliflower, peas, and carrots with some salt.
•Mash up all the above along with the pumpkin with a masher.
•In a kadai, add some butter and saute the onions ginger and garlic till translucent.
•Add the capsicum and mix well.
•Mix in the tomato puree and let it cook for a bit. Add 2-3 Tbsp of water.
•Add the grated tomatoes to the above and cook them well.
•Toss in the pav bhaji masala and add some water. It could get a little thick at this stage. Be careful with how much water you add to the mixture.
•Add salt, lemon juice and a dollop of butter. Adjust the seasoning as per your taste.
•Top with chopped onions, coriander leaves & a pat of butter & squeeze of lemon. Serve with pav.
