MCubed Library brings you a festival “CELEBRATE CHILDREN” that begins this weekend with different activities all through the day. Here is the schedule so make sure you have this saved.

Saturday 23rd November 2013

7 am : Tree friendships, true friendships :  Listen to a Tree story and  walk down some of our leafy streets with Katie Bagli to get to know our trees and what makes them unique. Help us make name plates so that others get to know them too.

11 am : Treasure Hunt … for books, running through the library…. with Charles de Sousa

Sunday 24th November 2013

7 am : A Garden in a Bottle… Oh yes, Carl Fernandes will help us grow one that we can take home. One that needs no watering, no pruning….but is our own little oasis of beauty.

11 am : Meet your Team : These are best friends you’ve never met – how can that be, you think. Well, it’s true, you cannot do without them !…and here’s your chance to meet a policeman, a traffic warden, a postman and many more friends who make YOUR life easy.

12 noon : Give and Take : Craft workshop for all ages. All items will be sold at the library on Sunday the 1st of December 2013 ( proceeds will go to an NGO)

2 pm to 4 pm : Movie ( Call the Library for details)

5pm to 6 pm : TELLING TALES‚with Usha Venkatraman. Interactive tales & songs for young listeners . Bring your little ones ( 3 to 5 years olds) and listen to tales from the Ukraine, through music, with puppets

6.30 to 7.15 : Spooky Tales with Usha : Spooky Tales to scare you witless - eerie tales to give listeners goosebumps, gasps, and giggles. 6 years and above

Monday 25th November 2013

5 pm to 6 pm : Give and Take :  Art for art’s sake, but also for sale. All items will be sold at the library on Sunday the 1st of December 2013  ( proceeds will go to an NGO)

11 am : The Teasers : play by the children of Bandra. Written by Vibhavari Deshpande. Directed by Prabha Pandey. Aditi’s mother dreams big dreams for her : reality shows and whatnot. But Aditi’s heart beats to a different drummer. Come in large numbers to see a slice of life – on stage!

11.30am onwards Give and Take : Sale of art and craft objects created by the children of the Library. Proceeds to go to charity
