Does Your Child Have It In Them To Be An Entrepreneur

Is your child always trying to pitch business ideas to you? Are you raising a kid-entrepreneur?

Entrepreneurship isn't something that only adults are capable of. The bigger picture of being an entrepreneur include honing skillsets, taking initiative, solving problems, thinking critically, interacting with people confidently and look for opportunities around them. And giving kids an opportunity to foster this entrepreneurial skill at an early age will help them immensely in their adult life.

You know there is nothing a kid can't do once they put their mind to it right? Which is why like last year, Hackberry is once again hosting The Kidpreneur Competition 2019 for students between the ages of 10-15 years.

Last December, 23 Kidpreneurs took the stage at the Bombay Stock Exchange's iconic Convention Center. and pitched business ideas to a panel of judges. The ideas ranged from sustainable bags made from old school uniforms to apps for carpooling. The ideas pitched to the judges were exciting and super innovative.

What Is The Hackberry Kidpreneur Competition?

Hackberry Kidpreneur Competition, in partnership with HT and with Kidsstoppress as their parenting outreach partner, will invite students of approximately 200 schools aged 10-15 years to participate in our business plan competition.

Students can submit their idea as an individual or a team of up to four people. Their business plan should cover what problem they are solving, and how they will sell their product or service. Once they do that and present it students will be shortlisted to attend the KidPreneur Challenge event.
They will have a Mentor Round with a mentor who will help them with their pitch.
During the final event, students will present to a panel of judges and the audience in a Shark Tank-style format.

All you need is a great idea and a will to go all the way.

When: The application deadline is 16th November 2019 and the challenge will culminate on 7th December 2019
