2019 has sped by and everyone is still wondering where did the time fly. It seems like it was only a few months ago that I had decided on my New Year’s resolution to get fit – well needless to say I’m far from it. But recently I started following celebrity fitness expert Yasmin Karachiwala. She’s the coach to celebrities like Katrina Kaif & Deepika Padukone to name a few.

I think she knows that its easier to get through a workout if you have a buddy to push you and work out alongside you. Her new series to help you get fit for the new year are just that! These exercises are done along with a partner without any gym equipment- so find yourself a workout buddy and get cracking. Don’t forget to eat healthy so that you stay on track

Join the #KSPMomsChallenge and work your way to a fitter 2020!

About the book:

When it is difficult to get kids to fall in love with reading fiction and fantasy books, the bigger challenge is getting the young minds to read mythology. Sudha Murty explained how as parents, we need to sit down and explain the significance of each custom and tradition we follow in our festivals, why we do what we do and that will get them interested in the festivities and will encourage them to pick up a mythology book, in turn.

This book- deals with the popular mythological heroes Rama and Krishna- an evergreen with children. The book aims to break down the stories from our interesting mythologies with a relevance and rationale that kids will agree to. Ravana isn't someone with 10 heads but someone who had the wisdom of 10 people, she explains in the book. This understanding and explanation will save you from the hows and whys your smart child will ask!

What we loved:

  • Just like all of her earlier books, Sudha Murty maintains a simple and uncomplicated style of narration, without any exaggeration. That's what makes it relatable and interesting to the kids.
  • Instead of demystifying the same old Ramayana and Mahabharata, the author has taken into consideration that the reader is aware of the basic storyline and ventures into the minute details and the layers that make these epics more popular.

Stay tuned for a full exclusive interview we had with the best-selling author- her take on getting kids to fall in love with reading and tips to help in #SimplifyingParenting! Watch this LIVE of the book launch event where Sudha Murty talks about her new book.
