Goodwill India is a non-profit NGO that collects then washes, alters, irons and then distributes used clothes to the poor along with computers, toys, utensils etc to people those who are really in needed. Your used old/new toys will be passed on to the orphanages and shelters for mentally retarded children. They have distributed over 167000 clothes in a period of 3.5 years. They manage 13 distribution outlets in nearby areas of Pune like Saswad, Alandi, Chakan, Warje, Shivane, Dhairy, 4 places at Pimpri Chinchwad and so on where distribution is done once in a week.

SWaCH


SWaCH (Solid Waste Collection and Handling) is India’s first wholly-owned cooperative of self-employed waste pickers/waste collectors and other urban poor. One of the services it offers is V-collect through which you can donate clothes, newspapers, electronics, furniture, utensils and other unused household product. The clothes should be in usable condition and ironed. SWaCH will then sort them according to size/ age/gender/style and sell them at nominal prices to the waste pickers and other urban poor. The torn fabrics are recycled into cloth products like bags, coasters and dusters.

Give For Pune


“Give for Pune” is an initiative spearheaded by the Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society and Goodwill India Group. Here you can donate all types of clothes as well as blankets, bed sheets, pillows and shoes. These clothes are then sorted, washed, restored, ironed and packed to be further distributed to poor for free or at a price ranging between Rs5-20 per item. The amount collected from the sale is used towards sustaining their after-collection pipeline, which provides employment to the needy women.They also have a Donate Toys drive that is popular in the city.
