Kids love technology. They are constantly looking at new games to play on a screen. So why not give them a chance to play while they learn? With a new app based game Osmo, kids can do just that! Osmo is a set of iPad apps played with real-world pieces, an unique stand with a red plastic piece that redirects the iPad’s camera to the game pieces as your child interacts with them on a table or floor. This helps in creating a sense of magic for your children making it super fun and interesting.
My first interaction with the Osmo was at a coffee store with the team from Goodie Bag and our gaming session lasted for over an hour. Osmo comes with four apps – Tangram, Words, Newton and Masterpiece. Each of the apps offers a range of activities which force your kids to think and have been especially curated for 5-12 year olds. The game is extremely simple to understand and doesn’t need too much adult intervention. The best part of the set up is super simple too!
