Le Pain Quotidien Belgian Brownie Recipe

Ingredients:250 gms Unsalted Butter300 gms Dark Chocolate250 gms Castor Sugar5 Eggs50 gms Refined FlourPreparation:Add some water in a pan and bring it to a boil. In a cooking bowl add butter and chocolate together and keep the bowl on the boiling water, to melt the butter and the chocolate using the double boil method.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes.

Cooking Time: 40 minutes.

 Ingredients:

  1. 250 gms – Unsalted Butter
  2. 300 gms – Dark Chocolate
  3. 250 gms – Castor Sugar
  4. 5 – Eggs
  5. 50 gms – Refined Flour

Preparation:

  1. Add some water in a pan and bring it to a boil.
  2. In a cooking bowl add butter and chocolate together and keep the bowl on the boiling water, to melt the butter and the chocolate using the double boil method.
  3. In another bowl whisk together eggs and sugar until the mix is light and fluffy.
  4. When the chocolate is melted with the butter take the bowl away from the boiling water.
  5. Fold chocolate mix into the eggs and mix slowly so that the heat of the chocolate does not cook the eggs in the mix.
  6. Sift flour into the mix and avoid lumps.
  7. For baking, put paper cups into the moulds, put 130 gms of mix into it and bake in a preheated oven at 165 C for 35-40 mins.
  8. To check whether the brownie cooked or not put a knife through the brownie, if it comes neat and clean that means the brownies are ready.
  9. Serve it warm with a sprinkle of castor sugar and scoop of ice-cream.
