It was a lazy afternoon. Only sounds were the rustling of the leaves outside. My daughter was sprawled on a bright blue mat, propped up on her elbows, nose buried deep in her Enid Blyton book. A gentle breeze slowly crept in, crackling the crisp plastic cover of the book, and departed instantly as if apologizing for the intrusion. Unaffected, she turned the page and continued to read, oblivious to the time and the fact that she was lying right in the centre of a library!
Yes, you read right. We were at the Mcubed Library (short for Maharashtra Mitra Mandal), neatly tucked away in one of the leafy lanes of Bandra, on the ground floor of a nondescript building. And here’s why every child and parent will love the place!
