One of the most glorious things to look back on when you have children is the sheer enormity of the things you have collected over the years. A cursory look at my memory box reveals the ID bracelet that my son had on at the hospital, a strand of hair, his first shoe, his favourite toy…the list is endless!
I also remember feeling extremely overwhelmed as a new mom and wondering just how to organise these collectibles. What I did was just dump everything in a box and label it with my son’s name! But surely, there are better ways!
That is what Paper Crush has tried to do. Create a way to chronicle your memories in a more organised manner. Paper Crush was started by two sisters – Ankita Jaisinghani and Rachita Agarwal, who loved all things stationery and found themselves picking up pretty stationery every time they travelled. They saw a huge market in India when they realised there was a gap to create unique, off-beat yet functional stationery which is great for personal use and work as lovely gift items.
What it is?
Paper Crush has a number of products slotted into categories like Journals, Scribbles, Lists, and Gifting. This covers the entire gamut from pocket diaries to meal planners, shopping lists to scribble pads. They also have a line of products for parents and carry a Baby Letter Book : Memories For My Baby, a Baby Log Book : Drink Sleep Poop, and a Meal Planner List.
The Baby Letter Book makes for a very thoughtful gift to a new mom. Packed in a beautiful gift box it contains 12 themed letters for mom to write to baby. As a new mom there are so many things you want to tell your baby and this is the perfect way to do it.
Every parent knows the importance of a baby log book and the need to chronicle the number of times baby feeds, poops and the hours that they sleep especially in the first few days after birth. This book makes logging easier.
What we love:
- Simple, unique designs on every one of their products
- Products that we know will make awesome gifts for anyone who loves fun, functional stationery.
What we don’t love:
- Price. We know parents world over log their baby’s feeding and sleeping schedule and they use any blank notepad to do it. The log book priced at Rs 700 seems a tad bit too steep and doesn’t seem like something parents will pick up.
- We would also like to see a larger range of products.
