When was the last time you tasted milk that was full of aroma, rich, creamy and made you feel healthy while drinking it. As parents we hear so much about milk adulteration, I am sure you are following the latest milk adulteration controversy( Read the WSJ story on adulteration here)  that’s doing the rounds about how 68% of milk in India is adulterated and pay so much attention to the right brand of milk we finally settle for and wish there could be something we could see to believe. I remember when I started cow’s milk with the daughter it was a huge decision on which one we would settle for. The tetra packs were an obvious choice then. However I still wonder how do they preserve the milk for so many days? How I wished that in a city like Mumbai you could get farm fresh milk! When I first heard about the Pride of Cows Milk all I heard was fresh, love the taste and untouched by human hands. Those were the first impressions a few moms had left with me. If you already know about them and want to contact them straight then call +91 22 43005556  (between (10am – 6pm). I was keen on trying it instantly and as always Google came to rescue. I did my research and this is what I found: 1. It’s untouched by human hand right through the entire cycle – from milking, processing and bottling. 2. The cows are fed on a special diet of natural forage of high quality alfalfa, sorghum, hybrid penni-setum and greens and concentrates which are rich in minerals, soya, bran and minerals. The result is milk that is highly nutritious 3. Happy cows give happy milk: The conditions in which the cows are kept are quite commendable 4. Pride of Cows milk is instantly pasteurized, chilled, packaged in bottles and sent on its way to you. In a process that has no human contact, maintaining absolute 100% purity and keeping the taste and structure of the milk intact. I also saw their video which is a must watch in deciding why you should choose the Pride Of Cows milk for your little ones. I had seen this robotic milking of the cows on my last holiday and must confess it’s a stress free process for the cows. Infact it’s quite organized where the cows queue up to be milked. Also with each cow being closely monitored and tracked they also ensure that if a cow is sick or unwell then the milk of that cow is not added but just flushed down. The Pride of Cows plant After being convinced we ordered our first bottle and it was there the next morning at 6 a.m. We finally tasted the milk and it was delicious. You remember those commercials where they show you getting a milk mustache after drinking milk. Ha, it finally happened to us! So moms this one’s a must try. The milk is priced at Rs 75 per litre.  Don’t let the price bother you while you try it. You anyways pay Rs 57 for the tetra pack.
