An older friend of mine told me about the time he was just getting married. He said, some wise person advised him that whenever he and his wife were intimate during the first two years of marriage, he should add a coin into a jar. After the first couple of years, each time the same thing happened, he should remove a coin. My friend was told categorically that he would never run out of coins in that jar. Another way of saying, “All the action is top loadedâ€_x009d_.
The underlying logic is once kids are in the picture, couples must stop being lovers and become parents. The inability or rather the unwillingness of parents to show their love for each other outside of private quarters is something most of us are well familiar with. Yet, to me, that’s always said something. If two people who have decided to spend their lives together can’t show their love for each other publicly at the time of their choosing, then how are their children supposed to learn about expressing their feelings.
