As a mom who took a break from my career when I had my first child, I have long yearned for people in the professional world to give my community a break. Yes, we stay at home and yes, we envy the millions of women who wear their professional suits and step out day after day to work on their careers, but as much as we love our children and work towards bringing them up we would like to be a part of the professional world. Almost 10 years ago there weren’t very many companies that understood that. Thank god, that has changed!

Today, companies like JobsForHer are working exclusively for women who are looking to start afresh. These are women who are looking to come back into the workforce full time, or looking for part time work that they can do from home, or even those who know they will be able to dedicate only a certain amount of time to one off projects. Basically JobsForHer is trying to mend and bridge the disconnect between millions of educated, qualified women with work experience, who took a break from their jobs for personal reasons like child care, and companies that are desperate to hire qualified women and are looking to fill opportunities with the perfect candidates. The company only represents women who have been on a break for over 6 months or more.

But women who have had successful careers before they took a break are always hesitant to start afresh. They want to come back to companies they worked for earlier or those that are better. Starting from scratch is almost never an option. JobsForHer understands that. they have more than 500 well known companies including Amazon, Dell, Future Group, GE, Kotak Mahindra Group, Narayana Health, Schneider Electric, SnapDeal, Thomson Reuters, Sobha Developers, Unilever, Tesco, all posting jobs, all looking for women. Their listings are from industries as diverse as IT, to banking, to healthcare, to retail and e-commerce, to start-ups.

Everyone knows women who manage a home and a job are amazing at multi-tasking, are goal oriented, and efficient with their time. Companies know that and are happy to bring women with these skills back into the workforce. JobsForHer provides the introductions!

After all, who better to know what women bring to the table than the founders of JobsForHer. Started and run by an all women team, founder Neha Bagaria herself restarted her career after a break of 3.5 years. That is why the team works tirelessly to ensure women have their pick of job listings whether they are looking for full-time, part-time, work-from-home, freelance, or returnee-internship positions. The best part being, candidates can join work a week after the interview!
