It isn't very often that you get to meet a living legend and that was exactly the thought we had when we met and interviewed Shiamak Davar. After all, we had grown up on a steady diet of his music and dance moves as kids ourselves!
Known for introducing a modern, contemporary style to dance in India, Shiamak has for the past 30 years headed a successful dance academy that has year after year produced some of the country's best dancers. From Bollywood to the stage, from reality shows to award shows, Shiamak's style of dance is everywhere and India seems to love it!
Mansi Zaveri of KSP recently met the legend Shiamak Dawar and got him talking about what his childhood was like, what his journey to pursue dance full time as a profession really looked like, and even what his staunch educationist parents thought of his 'unique' career choice!
