Whats it all about?
Wungi Pirates is a toy-like adventure app for kids in a fun and colourful pirate universe. Co-designed and play-tested with pirate loving children it contains many favourite pirate objects and activities that kids will adore
How to set sail??
The little pirates are being sent out to the seven seas via simple swipe movements, where kids can sail across the sea wherever and however they like. Whilst the pirates are on their way, they come across many islands, where they can walk across.
As soon as kids use the island view, they’ll notice the black X marks in the sand – the international sign for a pirates treasure. Whilst tapping on the appropriate location with the finger, the captain expectantly starts to dig his way into the sand. You won’t always find a treasure underneath the markings though, but instead you’ll find tin-cans and other objects such as old boots etc.
Nevertheless, the treasure chest is slowly filling up with gold and other collectibles after several visits on islands. Besides the treasure chest on the pirates ship, are also other interactive things for kids to discover.
Children can also look at the horizon for new treasure islands, with the pirate girl in the lookout, if they use the telescope view. Every now and again, a big octopus occurs from under the surface of the ocean, which obviously wants the treasure too. At this stage, the canon will come in handy, which is also easily adjusted and fired. Kids can even steer the ship with the big steering wheel, without any swiping movements.
