The Art Loft is hosting Damaru, a 10 week musical journey for kids. The class focuses on kids having fun, learning, singing and recording the basics of Indian Music in a live workshop format using both Hindustani & western music.

For all those wondering what is Damaru?

Damaruâ€_x009d_ is a cross-over album that weaves together Indian folk-pop, classical, lounge, elektronika, and Rabindrasangeet (the music of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore) in an unprecedented manner through fusion singer, Isheeta Ganguly. Released with TIMES MUSIC in August 2010, “Damaruâ€_x009d_ features tracks arranged by renowned Bollywood composer Shantanu Moithra, Grammy award winning percussionist, Tanmoy Bose and NY based elektronika producer Phil Levy. It also features a special guest performance by actor John Abraham on “Bande Mataramâ€_x009d_ with the Tagore poem, “Where the Mind is Without Fearâ€_x009d_.

Class begins on Say 6th Oct onwards(weekly class)

Time: 4- 5.00 p.m. ( 3 – 6 year olds)& 5.00 – 6.00 p.m. for (7 – 12 year olds)
