Get out your apron, baking tools and toque (chef’s hat) and don’t forget to carry loads of creativity. This week  Haagen Dazs & Kidsstoppress invites you to  ‘I am Chef Haagen-Dazs’ workshop.

A fun innovative workshop where kids will learn about ice cream & patisserie creation. However this is no child’s play.

At the end of the workshop, there will be a HD Junior Chef Carnival. A major event that is being organized at the end of the course to welcome the Kids’ families to commemorate the learning of these kids. There will be a contest where the kids have to make a 3-Tier Wedding Cake and the winner will be called  HD Junior Chef.

Powai: 19th May to 29th May.  Children can enrol themselves for level 2.

The workshop will be held at 2 levels, Basic and Intermediate level with 4 classes each, of duration 2 hours.

Basic Level Includes:

Week 1: Cream
Chef will share knowledge on Cream , Types of Cream. Kids will then learn the art of Handling, Storing, Whipping of cream, Piping of whipped cream in different forms and make Lone Ranger

Week 2: Chocolate
Chef will share knowledge on Origin and Variety of Chocolates, nature of food colour , Coloured chocolates. Kids will then learn the art of handling & moulding of chocolates, Making of chocolate garnishes. They will also make the Eiffel Tower.

Week 3: Fondant
Chef will share knowledge on Nature of the product, Dos and Don’t  with fondants. Kids will then learn the art of Adding colour to the Fondant, Moulding Fondant, Making different Fondant Figures

Week 4: Sponge
Chef will share knowledge on Types of sponge, Its uses, Understanding the right sponge for the right cake Kids will then learn the art of making sponge from scratch. Decorate the sponge as well.

Intermediate Level Includes

Week 1: Brownies
Chef will share knowledge on Brownies , Varieties, Flavours. Kids will learn: Brownies using Pillsbury Brownie Mix

Week 2: Cheesecake
Chef will share knowledge on Baked and Frozen Cheesecake.Kids will learn Cheesecake using Pillsbury Cheesecake Mix

Week 3: Snacks
Chef will share knowledge on  various snack patisserie. Kids will learn Muffins, Cupcakes, Pancakes, Crepes & Waffles using Betty Crocker Mix

Week 4: Cake
Chef will share knowledge on Techniques about cake preparation. Kids will learn A customized cake using Truffles’ technique
