WASSUP ANDHERI

After a successful debut last year on the city’s event scene, Wassup! Andheri by F5 Advertainment, an exclusively designed festival for the suburbs is set to return, only this time in a bigger, better avatar. Having celebrated the suburb’s and the city’s pulse and created a brand of its own already, this year’s edition promises to pack in all the extravaganza of last year and much more.

When: February 28, 2013 and going up to March 3, 2013.

Where: The Chitrakoot Grounds in the heart of Andheri West.

Keeping its motto of ‘entertainment for all ages’ intact. This second edition, the list of events expands too, with workshops, street plays, readings and innovative acts. As always we bring you the complete schedule for kids so you can pick and choose the flavours that most please those young taste buds

MAKE N BAKE -  (Feb 28 – March 3)

A paint your own pottery studio where you can choose from a variety of ceramic pieces. Design and Paint it yourself and we would fire it for you making it microwave-able and food safe.

 Grooming Babies: An exploratory event for children in the age group of 18 months to 5 years and their parents where they get to decode principals of everyday physics and be ‘inventors’ themselves.

Craft Frame: Aarti Gaba will conduct workshops where she helps children create their very own personalized Photo-Frames. 4.00pm – 6.00pm (March 1st )

Saevus Wildlife India LLP – SWI will help you discover your inner creativity by using common waste materials found at home to make cool & artistic decor. This will be followed by a skit about ‘Shadow’, a young Snow leopard from the Himalayas, portraying the plight of leopards  losing their habitat. Finally, ending with a poster making competition. 6.00pm – 8.00pm (March 1st )

African Mask Making – A workshop by Chitrapatang’s Art Studio for age group of 7 years and above. All art material provided. Facilitator: Prachi Agawane. -  10am – 12 noon ( March 2nd)

Clay Crossing Studio – A unique workshop to unleash your child’s creativity combining clay modeling and pottery, using eco friendly clay (terracotta). Certificates will be awarded for creativity. 12.00pm – 2.00pm (March 2nd and March 3rd)

Supersonic Aero Modelers: – MAKE your own Static and Flying Aeroplane Models from imported wood, in a challenging but fun filled workshop. The team will teach you to cut, shape, design and Fly your own models! All Tools & Kits will be provided. 2.00pm – 4.00pm ( March 2nd and 3rd March)

Punch Craft – A folder being an essential part of a child’s school life can look beautiful too… Here is your chance to create your own punch craft folder with Aarti Gaba. – 4.00pm – 6.00pm (March 2nd )

Curious Kids – A workshop on Puzzle and Potter Mania where kids will solve innovative puzzles under a minute and create “Magicâ€_x009d_ at the potter’s wheel !! – 6.00pm – 8.00pm (March 2nd)

Learn through a Story: A time when children learn through stories and have loads of FUN. Children will get to listen to a story followed by participation in activities and games that are in sync to Science and Math.  4.00pm – 6.00pm (March 3rd)
