6 AM alarms. Breakfast. School. Work. Activities. The list goes on. However organised I try to be, somehow I always miss something. Then comes the downpour where I drown myself in mom-guilt, that takes me a lot of time to get out of.

So why do we feel this? It’s in the attempt of being a super mom.

87% women of mothers feel guilty at some point in their lives and 21% feeling this way most of the time

Being a career oriented woman, I constantly feel that I need to justify that I am doing the best I can. I NEED to be on top of the game all the time. If I wonder, why? Maybe it could be the guilt or to prove the fact that women can do it all.  But truth be told, we are trying to fill in our own expectation of being the “perfect mom”. We constantly compare ourselves to other women in society and question our decision if we are doing enough for our child. We have a picture perfect idea of how our child should be.

The #SheIsImperfectlyPerfect Campaign By Prega News. What Does It Convey?

  • It reminds a mom that it’s ok if you make mistakes while you multi-task
  • It tells the real story of every mom across the globe – without picture perfect moments
  • It reassures the fact that every mom is a great mom – even when she is flawed.

Yes, it is great to know how she does it, but let’s celebrate being imperfectly perfect

Watch the video, and write to us at [email protected] your story, and how you struggle to manage at times.

This keeps each conversation real, and we look forward to building a community where we share the story as it is. Without any filter.
