It’s the season where the rising pollution is the reason why most of us are sick and resorting to nebulizing or the pump. But are you concerned about using the nebulizer?

A nebulizer is a compact device utilized by individuals, both children and adults, who experience respiratory issues. It aids in the efficient delivery of medication directly to the lungs. Typically, the medication administered via nebulizer comes in liquid form. The nebulizer works by transforming the medication into an aerosol, consisting of minuscule particles suspended in the air, which can then be inhaled into the lungs for therapeutic effect.

We asked Mumbai paediatrician Dr Nihar Parekh to break down each of these common misconceptions and he explains why nebulising is a very safe option when your child is battling a respiratory illness.

He talks about

🔸Is it safe for my child?
🔸Will it become addictive?
🔸Are the medicines safer than oral medicines?
