Review: Hobby Ideas Activity Store

I often visited Hobby Ideas when my daughter was an infant thinking they would have some activities for infants too but no, even though they start late they have a wide variety of activities that will trigger a lot of fun activities that you may continue doing at home. Some cardboard shapes, sponge blobs, sequins, sand, glitter, glitter tubes(these are a must buy, as they are easy to use for kids and non messy for parents to clean)You can also choose from the wide variety of photo frames and shapes that they have that will help you create your own art.

I often visited Hobby Ideas when my daughter was an infant thinking they would have some activities for infants too but no, even though they start late they have a wide variety of activities that will trigger a lot of fun activities that you may continue doing at home.

The whole concept of come try our activities and then induce purchase actually works well. I did this one activity class with my daughter which though cost me Rs 500 and made me buy products there after for Rs 1000 was totally worth all the art & craft classes we now have at home.

It was a frame making class where she dabbed some paint with a sponge on a wooden paper frame and then stuck sequins on it . This whole exercise took about an hour and while our frame was drying up there was enough craft on display that triggered my imagination and made me realize there is so much I can do at home with my daughter. So we bought a lot of paint the fevicryl ones & some water colours. Regular brush set, please do not buy the expensive painters brush for your kids they really don’t need it. Some cardboard shapes, sponge blobs, sequins, sand, glitter, glitter tubes(these are a must buy, as they are easy to use for kids and non messy for parents to clean)

You can also choose from the wide variety of photo frames and shapes that they have that will help you create your own art. All these products seem expensive but mind you they are not. A box of fevicryl colours is about Rs 200 odd and each individual colour is about 20. The brushes cost about Rs 65 for a set of 5. Glitter & sand are Rs 20 each for a packet.

Very often as parents we may have a lot of dormant ideas that need some stimulation and maybe visiting the stores with your kids and watching them do these activities and looking around will trigger those ideas. I recommend a visit to Hobby Ideas for everyone.

What’s more a few of their stores now also home deliver. It cannot get better than that. I recommend their centers for a fun outing for your kids especially during the rains.

They also host Birthday parties and customize the activities basis the age group present. It will be a great time spent with children exploring their creativity and imagination to the fullest.

Do visit their website for all details on activities, however recommend visiting the store to see the workshops for the day that are more seasonal in nature
