Smitten by the world of PINKALICIOUS

We picked this one up because it was pink and it had to do with cupcakes.

But it was only when we read it and the daughter enjoyed it so much that I realized that books are not always information. They need to be fun, ignite imagination, creativity, ideas and repeat value for kids. Think about all the times when you felt like breaking away from serious fiction, thriller to a chick flick or a fun destressing read.

Pinkalicious is about a little girl who like any orher girl is obsessed with pink and is obsessed with cupcakes and PINK frosting just like our kids and keeps asking for more and more until mom says, “you get what you get and you don’t get upset” pssst love the line…

She keeps eating the pink cupcakes until she wakes up one morning to find herself looking all pink. She calls herself Pinkerbell, and dances like a pink fairy and does some crazy things until she is asked to eat all green veggies by the doctor. Her greed for more pink gets her to become red and then how she turns back to being herself and realizes that pink is great but she loves the way she actually is.

A fun read that will get the kids to imagine, explore and create. This one is a must buy for all pinky princesses.
