Do you remember when you were young and you had to shy away when you were on your menstrual cycle? We had different code names that would save us from the embarrassment. Today, I have a daughter and I know I never want to put her through what I did. I want to normalize the conversation about a woman's body around my husband. It is natural and there should be no embarrassment.
We need to ensure we raise sons and daughters to be more empathetic so they don't fall into prey of bullying.
Recently, we spoke to Tisca Chopra On Raising Parents, a Jio Saavn podcast about raising a strong daughter and normalizing conversations.
She speaks to us about:
- How to talk to your children without being preachy and pedantic about the human body and what it goes through
- Cool kids lingo ( don’t miss her enact that)
- Joint family systems and periods
- The awkwardness of the newspaper-wrapped pads and accepting and embracing who you are
- How to get your kids to value things when they have so much
- A fun rapid fire ( you wouldn’t want to miss this)
And more…
Listen to this podcast and you will get a sense of direction on a few parenting choices you would like to make for your children
