This summer, brave the sun with your children and head outdoors for some nature-themed fun! Just grab a bucket, get your child to pick up things that interest them on the walk and then engage them in a fun activity with those very things. Here we have a list of 6 simple nature-themed activities to do with your children this summer.

Nature Brushes

Gather a bunch of leaves and twigs and then once you are back home, secure the leaves on to the twig with a rubber band or string. Dip these 'brushes' in paint and let your child unleash their inner natural artist!

Rock Painting

Collect a few rocks and pebbles from your garden area and have your child paint them in some bright colours. These rocks will look great all piled up in a bowl and it is an awesome activity to keep kids occupied and create something useful at the same time.

This is an easy activity for the younger ones. Simply collect leaves of various sizes and dip them in the paint to create impressions on paper. Watch beautiful art emerge!

Shell Painting

It is a perfect playdate activity! Paint a branch using some bright colours and you have a cool kids room decor. There are no rules or correct way to do it. All you need to do is set up a table with a branch and paints and let kids paint it with vibrant colours. Decorate it further with some embellishments.

Paint Twigs

Collect a few twigs on your nature trail and paint them different colours so you can group them together in a vase. This makes a lovely statement piece in your room, hallway or foyer. Encourage your child to paint various patterns on the twigs for designs and colour combinations.
