For Mumbaites – It’s our duty to take advantage of residing in an island city. Yes! Start your encounters with water before June does. Or you could even come down with the temperatures at The Snow World. Get your gears on as it’s the time to celebrate one sensible day – A No – T.V DAY.  A great initiative planned by the Hindustan Times, is an annual property and will be celebrated for the 4th consecutive year on the 31st of May, 2014.

1. Join the Heritage Bus Rides on No TV Day with your family and friends. There are four rides 2 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm. Starting point is Jehangir Art Gallery.

If none of the planned activities excite you then here are few more options to lure you away

  1. Open Bus Tour of Mumbai – Your kids have been busy attending schools and study sessions and now that they are free its quite likely for them to stick to the idiot box. You can break that rule on this 31st of May as we celebrate the No – T.V DAY.   2. Summer Safari With CSMVS – Away from T.V but very close to nature and the real world around us. Take your kids to a Summer Safari organised by CSMVS. The kids can learn about various animals, flora and fauna, take a photography workshop and more. Click here to know more.
  3. Snow World at Phoenix Market City – Check mate the heat by visiting this cool place for a gamut of activities like ice-skating, snowboarding, sledding and sliding. You can choose to spend the day with your family and friends as the age group are between 2 -80 Years. -10 Degrees of temperatures is something you can’t let go off in these summers.   5. Museum fun:  Visit the Museum and participate in a variety of activities all through the day at Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vaastu Shangralaya at Fort. The entry is free for children and admissions are open for all.
  6. Learn Baking, making Keychains and Giftbags: Get hands-on learning experience with workshops organized by Colour Crates in association with Hindustan Times. This workshop will be conducted at the Oberoi Mall in Goregaon and will teach kids how to bake, make creative mosaic Key holders or Pendants. Click here to know more and book your seat.
  7. Archery Sessions by Blue Bulb – Sharpen your aiming skills and concentration in the archery sessions at Goregaon and Dahisar centers. A two-hour session with a personal instructor, bows and arrows is an apt way of engaging your kids in a recreational activity.
