6 Reasons Why My Daughter Will Go To The Jio World Drive Mall – Again & Again

Last week, I visited Jio World Drive with my family. We should remember that we still live amidst the pandemic. While you needed to be vaccinated to enter the mall, and other meassures were taken, I was skeptical if it was wise to expose myself to so many. Check out to know why it was a fun Sunday spent there.

Sundays are precious to us. As a family, we eat out and explore something new. Family rituals are special things your family does like movie night, shopping, eating out, reading books together – and more! Some rituals might have been handed down from your grandparents or other relatives and I wouldn't trade them with anybody, or anything!

Last week, I visited Jio World Drive with my family. We should remember that we still live amidst the pandemic. While you needed to be vaccinated to enter the mall, and other measures were taken, I was sceptical if it was wise to expose myself to so many. Scroll down to know why it was a fun Sunday spent there.

  1. Shopping – Be it sneakers, clothes or toys – now you can buy everything under one roof in this mall now.
  2. The quaint book store –  The White Crow Books & Coffee is perfect for the kids. Their collection is vast, and they can climb up on a ladder and pick their favourites and read on the couch eating a croissant.
  3. Hamleys Play Area – The world's 1st interactive play area for kids is here! It has innovative sensory toys, slides, ball pools, and more! P.S they could buy their favourite toy from their collection too.
  4. Food: The dramatic show of the Turkish ice cream man, or the handmade candy store – kids just love everything that quenches the sweet tooth.
  5. FreshPik – You could buy your groceries and your child can sit under the car carts and stroll around. They enjoy the customized frozen yoghurt, smoothie bowl, or M&M store – which is just like New York! How cool is that?
  6. Drive-in movies – Yes, that concept doesn't exist anymore! But don't you think they would love this innovative concept they have never seen before? I know I would!

As a parent, what am I worried about?

  1. Indoor Areas – While I love play areas, our children have missed outdoor fun! I would always opt for that over indoor play!
  2. Most of us are trying to teach our children the concept of minimalism since everything we buy them is in abundance and a click away. Then, is it wise to take them to the mall for Sunday fun?
