How Do Rollercoasters Work?

The long windy loops and steep falls have always been scary but even more exciting for me, how about you? When my parents took me to amusement parks rollercoasters were the rides that scared me the most! But once I learned how they work and how safe they are I couldn’t stop riding them! They’re just so fun and exhilarating now that’s the ride I look forward to the most!

If you listened to our previous episode you know all about how trains run on tracks. if not be sure to check that one out! Well, a roller coaster is similar to a train in that regard. This tiny but rapid train has special wheels that let it roll along the track and go up and down hills, around corners, and through loops. Isn’t that neat?!

But unlike normal trains, rollercoasters don’t work on steam, coal or electricity. Well then how on earth does it move?
